Signe and Mathias founded BØGEBJERG in 2024.

The philosophy behind the place is to create a break from everyday life. A place where you can be in nature while being surrounded by a comfortable and luxurious atmosphere.

BØGEBJERG offers families, couples, or individuals a retreat from the daily routine, focusing on presence in the dome, experiences in nature, and views from the hilltops.

BØGEBJERG slows down the pace.

"Sometimes you need to look up. Up from the newspaper. Up from the computer. You need to unplug and slow down the pace of everyday life.

All the way down.

Out into nature. Out where ice once shaped hills and valleys. Out into the wild. The free. Out into a slower life."

There is room for 4 people in the dome, and it is all set up and ready for the night. There is a small kitchenette with the option of frying and cooking, as well as a small fridge if you have brought food - cloths and tea towels are also ready.

Breakfast included and consists of; Buns, apple juice, organic eggs, jam, butter and fruit and coffee and tea from Perch

There is a bathroom with a shower, hairdryer and shampoo – and the towels are ready for you on the bed.

Wood-burning stove and heat pump ensure that you set the temperature you want.

Outside, you have access to your own wilderness bath with associated small terrace and hammock.

From the terrace there is access through the forest to the top of Bøgebjerg, 112 meters above sea level. From here you can go on a further discovery through forests, fields and beautiful views.

If you want quiet time instead, you can go to the campfire or the small lake.

Bøgebjerg lies in a hilly landscape just outside the small town of Østbirk and with approx. half an hour's drive to Århus, Vejle and Silkeborg.

Bøgebjerg is a peak that is 112 meters above sea level.

Here a fantastic panoramic view, where you can also see Ejer Baunehøj, Møllehøj and Yding Skovhøj, which are Denmark's highest points.

Within approx. 10 km you will find exciting nature and cultural experiences as well as small farm shops and local crafts. There are also several small eateries and the option of take away.

When you book an overnight stay with BØGEBJERG, the following is always included in the price:

A light breakfast
Firewood for wood-burning stove and wilderness bath
One full bed per person with bed linen and towel

In the dome there is also a hairdryer, shampoo and conditioner as well as tea towels and washcloths

It is allowed to bring food. It is possible to fry and cook and there is a small fridge. Food can also be cooked over a fire at the campfire site.

It is also possible to buy food from some of the local food places.

Check-in is possible from 3pm and check-out must take place no later than 11am on the day of departure.

Pets are not allowed.

In the event of extreme weather such as severe storms or severe thunderstorms, it may be necessary to cancel the stay at short notice for your safety. In the event that this happens, there is of course the option of a full refund or exchange at another time.
